About Malware, Worm, Virus and Spyware

Friends today I will explain malware, worm, virus and spyware. We often do not differentiate among them. Terms looking bit similar but they are not in real.

We must have rough idea about them. What they are? What they could do with our computer system? Are they useful  or dangerous for our system? It becomes really irritating when our system getting started unexpectedly functioning. We getting fed up with this. If we don't know to get identified the disease we could not get remedy for it.

So lets talk about them, one by one:

Malware: Malware stands for malicious software which refer to virus, spyware and worm etc. Main intension behind its designing is to cause the damage stand alone computer or network computers. So whenever and wherever  Malware term is used it means a program which is specially designed to cause your system. It may be virus, spyware and worm etc.

Worms: Worms are malicious programs  that make copies of themselves on hard drive ect. The main aim of worm is to copy itself again and again. it sucks memory and it does not harm any data file in computer unlike virus.

Examples of worms are:   

1) W32.SillyFDC.BBY
2) Packed.Generic.236
3) W32.Troresba

Virus : Virus is a program that when enter your computer and it damage and alter files. It may corrupt or delete your data file. They can also replicate like worm. They are more dangerous than worm.

Examples of viruses are:   

1.  ABAP.Rivpas.A
2.  Accept.3773

There are a list of different types of virus give below: 

1.    Master boot record (MBR) virus 
2.  Stealth Virus
3. Boot Sector Virus
4. File Virus
5. Multipartite virus

Spyware: spyware is a type of software that installed with or without your permission  on your computer. Its main aim is to gather information about a person or organization without their knowledge or monitor internet activities.
